Lesson 7: What's next (and how to keep learning)
AI is moving from "answering" to "doing."
๐งธ The simple picture
Today's chatbots are like a very smart friend you can text. The next step is more like a helpful assistant who can also run errands: look things up, fill in forms, compare prices, and book things, with your permission. These are often called AI agents.
You don't have to keep up with every headline. If you understand the basics from this course, you'll understand most of what comes next.
๐ Key ideas
- AI agents are AI tools that can take steps for you (like searching, clicking, or sending), not just talk. Always check what they're allowed to do.
- AI is getting built into apps you already use: email, phones, word processors, and search engines.
- New tools come out constantly. The skills from this course (clear prompts, checking facts, protecting privacy) work with all of them.
- Jobs are changing, too. People who learn to work with AI often get a head start.
- Keep it simple: try one new small thing with AI each week, and stay curious and a little skeptical.
๐ ๏ธ Try it (2 minutes)
Make your personal AI plan. Write down:
1) One task you'll hand to AI every week (example: the grocery list).
2) One thing you will always double-check (example: health info).
3) One thing you'll never share (example: passwords).
Stick it on your fridge. Congratulations, you finished the course!
